Some young people need more than a classroom
Every young person deserves a place where they can grow into who they're meant to be. For young people whose anxiety, low confidence, or emotional wellbeing has made school feel overwhelming or impossible, the right environment can make all the difference.
Away from the pressures of the classroom, given the space and calm of the outdoors, those same young people can rediscover their strengths, build genuine resilience, and develop the confidence and self-belief to move forward...one step at a time.
The outdoors is not the backdrop...it's the provision.
Every activity has a purpose beyond itself. Knife skills teach respect and self-regulation. Fire making teaches patience and persistence. Shelter building teaches trust.
Strip away the noise
The outdoors strips away the noise and levels the playing field. In that space, young people who have felt invisible, begin to be seen... often for the first time in years.
Base Camp Outdoors can provide emergency placements for learners who need provision quickly, or require maximum flexibility.

When we are in nature, the world slows down and the body knows what to do.
We are offering a new and different approach to learning for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, (SEMH). We are here because one size does not fit all!
We offer all our learners the opportunity to grow, thrive and develop into happy adults, who can fulfil their potential and lead productive lives, through play, exploration and discovery, in a sustainable environment that is almost 100% outdoors!
